SPECIAL GUESTS:
SONS OF MAXWELL
Brothers Don and Dave Carroll have enjoyed a rich and storied music career based in Atlantic Canada. Their band, Sons of Maxwell was named after their father Max in the early 90’s, and they have since toured the world from small pubs to prestigious theatres and festivals with their infectious pop-folk sound. They are multi ECMA award winners and past recipients of the Nova Scotia Group of The Year. With 13 recordings to their credit and thousands of performances, Don and Dave’s quick wit, brotherly harmonies and complimentary blend of original, traditional and pop favourites has made Sons of Maxwell a welcomed addition to listening ears, from kitchen ceilidhs to concert halls.
SPECIAL GUEST:
CATHERINE MACLELLAN
Juno Award winner Catherine MacLellan is one of Canadian folk music's true gems. Though the acclaim for Catherine’s own work was already significant, it reached new levels when she took home a Juno Award in 2015 for her standout album, The Raven’s Sun. This was an intimate look into her musical work with long-time collaborator, Chris Gauthier. Catherine has also been recognized with multiple East Coast Music Awards, Canadian Folk Music Awards, and Music PEI Awards. The daughter of Canadian songwriter Gene MacLellan, Catherine makes her first appearance at Christmas With Friends.
In keeping with the Christmas With Friends tradition, tonight we are proud to profile Campaign For Kids, a non-for-profit organization supporting youth in Kings County.
Please fill out a ballet in the main foyer for a chance to win a beautiful Christmas wreath.
Donations are always welcome and will help to purchase winter wear distributed to schools in Kings County.
THANKS TO OUR SPONSORS
Our Christmas With Friends corporate partners make the show possible every year. We encourage you to support these generous businesses during the festive season and all throughout the year.
